No Indian meal is complete without this palate cleanser. The blend varies as widely as the hundreds of culinary cultures across the India. Some as simple as the one I have with just candied fennel, carom seeds and roasted split coriander seeds to those that include many more ingredients including rose petals and fine strands of betel nut. Use this as a palate cleanser, breath freshner, or as a substitute for traditional sprinkles. Natural and more eco-friendly than gum, I carry mine with me everywhere inside a small jar .
